What we collect when you register:
We collect your first name, last name, email, username, password, "about me", age, gender, IP, and your user agent.
What is a user agent and why do you collect it?:
A user agent is information about your computer. A user agent may look like this, "Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/3.5; Linux) KHTML/3.5.10 (like Gecko) (Kubuntu)". This just helps us know where your rant is coming from. Why we collect it.., so we can release statistics like ie: "40% of rants come from an iPhone".
What is an IP address and why do you collect it?:
An IP address is a unique address issued to you by your ISP (internet Service Provider). We use it to help protect the site, if their is someone spamming the site than we can easily block it by restricting their IP address. We collect it to help protect against spam and if we need to identify a user.
What do you do with my email? :
Your email is stored in our database upon registering and helps us identify you and lets you retrieve your password if you forget.
Will we sell or trade your email to a third party? :
NO, we hate spam as much as anyone so we do not trade or give your email to any third party. We may send you updates on the service such as changes to the privacy policy or to the
Terms of Service.
Is my password encrypted in your database? :
Yes your password is encrypted in our database and will remain encrypted.
What information do you store when I rant?:
We store your username, rant, age, IP, user agent, time, "about me", profile image location, and gender.
Can the advertisers see my information? :
No the ads are randomly selected from our advertising database. We approve all advertisements and review them before being live.
Is my profile picture public to everyone? :
Your profile image is public yes, We advice that you upload an appropriate image for your profile picture..anyone with a link can download it so be careful. You can also choose between some of our
images if you’d like instead.
