Luxury Watches : Worth the Money ?

Hi everyone, I’m thinking about getting a luxury watch like Patek Philippe.
Worth it , or is it just a pointless expense of money?
I admire the style and craftsmanship , but the price tag is steep.
Do they stay valuable over time, or am I smarter saving elsewhere?
Any thoughts on whether it’s a wise choice for a regular guy?
